Privacy Policy — Senbon Kumiki

Studio Gennai ("STUDIO-GENNAI", "we", "us", or "our") provides the Senbon Kumiki mobile game (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use the App.

1. Scope and our contact details

This policy applies to the analytics-only version of the App identified by:

  • Android application ID: com.studio.gennai.senbonkumiki
  • iOS bundle ID: com.studio.gennai.senbonkumiki

2. Data stored only on your device

The App stores game progress on your device, including the current puzzle state, levels reached or cleared, and available undo actions. This data is used to restore the game locally. We do not operate an account system or our own game server for this information.

You can remove locally stored game data by deleting the App or clearing its app data through your device settings. Doing so may not remove analytics data already received by Google; see sections 4 and 7.

3. Analytics is optional

The App asks for your affirmative choice before enabling analytics. You can play the App if you choose not to allow analytics.

Until you choose "Allow," analytics collection is disabled. If you choose "No thanks" or later withdraw your choice, the App disables further analytics collection and removes unsent analytics events stored locally. You can change your choice from the Analytics control on the level selection screen.

4. Data collected after you allow analytics

After you allow analytics, the App uses Google Analytics for Firebase ("Firebase Analytics") to understand whether the puzzle is clear and whether the App should be improved or continued.

The App-defined analytics events may include:

  • gameplay actions and outcomes, such as a level starting, being cleared, or reaching an unsolvable state;
  • selected in-game recovery actions;
  • event timestamps and game-duration measurements;
  • level, app, content, and platform-version information; and
  • your analytics consent state.

The App does not put your name, email address, account name, contacts, precise location, raw device identifier, advertising identifier, transaction identifier, payment information, or game-save contents into its analytics event parameters.

Firebase Analytics may process technical information needed to provide its service, such as a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, device and operating system information, app configuration, network information, and IP-address-derived approximate location. This processing is described in Google's Firebase privacy documentation and Google's privacy policy.

5. No advertising, tracking permission, or in-app purchases in this build

This version of the App does not include an advertising SDK, does not show advertisements, does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not offer in-app purchases.

We configure Firebase Analytics so that advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising-personalization signals remain denied even when you allow analytics. On iOS, this build also disables Firebase's automatic ad-network attribution registration and IDFV collection. We do not use analytics data for targeted advertising or sell it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Why we use analytics and the legal basis

We use the optional analytics data to measure first-day retention, identify where players leave or become stuck, diagnose aggregate gameplay problems, and decide whether to improve or discontinue the App.

For people in the EEA and the UK, our legal basis for this optional analytics processing is your consent. You may withdraw it at any time using the Analytics control described in section 3. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

7. Service providers, international transfers, and retention

Google LLC and its affiliates provide Firebase Analytics and process analytics data on our behalf or as described in Google's terms. Analytics data may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Google describes its transfer safeguards in its privacy documentation.

If enabled for the limited D1 test, we may export Firebase Analytics events to a Google Cloud BigQuery dataset in asia-northeast1 (Tokyo) so that retried events can be deduplicated for aggregate analysis. This sentence must be removed or confirmed before publication according to whether the export is active.

We retain:

  • local game data until you delete the App or clear its app data;
  • unsent on-device analytics events for no more than seven days, and delete them immediately when analytics is declined or withdrawn;
  • Firebase Analytics event data for {{GA4_EVENT_DATA_RETENTION_PERIOD}}; and
  • BigQuery-exported raw analytics events for {{BIGQUERY_RAW_EVENT_RETENTION_PERIOD}}.

Before publication, configure those two retention periods in Google Analytics and BigQuery, then replace the placeholders with the actual values.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, restriction, objection, portability, or to complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, email us at the address in section 1. We may need enough information to identify the relevant analytics data and to verify the request. You can also withdraw optional analytics directly in the App.

9. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. Before publication, set the minimum age and implement or document age assurance for EEA and UK consent.

We do not knowingly enable optional analytics for a person who is below the applicable age at which they can provide valid consent in their country. If you believe a child has provided analytics consent, contact us and we will review the request.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, request consent again before enabling materially different optional analytics processing.
